What is a Shopify PC builder?
A Shopify PC builder is a step-by-step configurator that lets shoppers assemble a custom computer from the parts a store sells: processor, motherboard, memory, graphics card, storage, case and power supply. The finished build goes to the cart in one go.
Craft's PC Builder adds a compatibility engine on top. Every step only offers parts that work with what the shopper already picked, based on CPU socket, memory type and speed, form factor, cooler height, GPU length and PCIe, and it recommends a power supply with enough wattage for the whole build.

FAQ
PC Builder questions
How does the PC Builder check compatibility?
Each step only shows parts that fit what the shopper already picked. Craft compares specs such as CPU socket, memory type and speed, motherboard and case form factor, clearances and PCIe, and recommends a power supply with enough wattage for the build.
Do I have to enter every part's specs by hand?
No. Craft reads specs from your product titles, tags, options, descriptions, variants and metafields. You can review and edit them in the Part Matrix, or download a spreadsheet, fill it in (Craft gives you a ready-made prompt for your AI tool), and upload it again.
Can I test a PC build before customers see it?
Yes. The Live Build Simulator lets you walk through the builder as a shopper and see which parts were hidden and why. Health checks flag problems such as missing specs or rule loops before you publish.
